Y Combinator Startup School expands to NYC, offering entrepreneurs a chance to learn from successful founders and investors and join a community of startup doers.
Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit, participated in the first Y Combinator Startup School in 2005, which aimed to provide early stage founders with insight from their peers in an approachable and helpful way.
28 Y Combinator companies are now based in New York, including Amicus, Hacker School, One Month Rails, Viable, Rant Hop, Weave, Rocket Trip, Parse, Scribd, and Startup School.
Entrepreneurship is thriving among students who are taking initiative to learn, code and build, and we are fortunate to have access to these opportunities in the new economy and technology age.
